
The Austrian national team won a bronze medal at the 39th International Young Physicists’ Tournament, held from July 5 to 12, 2026 in Zurich. 35 teams from all continents took part.

The 29th Austrian Young Physicists’ Tournament will take place from Friday, April 2, to Sunday, April 4, 2027 at Montanuniversität Leoben, in Franz Josef Straße 18, 8700 Leoben, Austria. Austrian and international teams can register by e-mail to info@aypt.at; the registration deadline will be announced.

The Austrian Young Physicists' Tournament (short AYPT) is a team-oriented physics competition among teams of secondary school students. In the months leading up to the tournament in April, the teams do research on open questions in physics.
